Meet the Officers
Dr. Karen Rattan | Faculty Advisor
Dr. Karen Rattan graduated with her DMD from University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 1990 and then attended OU AEGD Program from 1990-1991. She worked part time at OU College of Dentistry from 1991-1996 while building a private practice and then became full time faculty in January of 2014 until present as a Clinical Assistant Professor. She is a member of ADA, ODA, AGD, OAWD, Pierre Fauchard, and American College of Dentists. In her free time she loves to scuba dive at exotic places around the world and loves riding and taking care of her three horses. She has one daughter who is an engineer, Captain in the US Army and flies Blackhawk helicopters. She has a son who is in college at the University of Texas and is an incredible musician. Dr. Rattan is honored to be a part of ASDA and represent this organization as Faculty Advisor!
Edith Quinonez '21 | President
Edith attended the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center until 2014 when she received her degree of Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. In short, she chose dentistry because she has witnessed individuals' quality of life improved through dentistry, and she wanted to play a role in providing such care for others. When Edith has free time she takes yoga classes, ride bikes around the city, and spend time outdoors. She also listens to podcasts to learn random facts about life.
Caytlin Eidson '21 | Vice President
Caytlin Graduated from Villanova University in 2016 with a degree in Biochemistry and a minor in math. As early as second grade, Caytlin knew she wanted to be a dentist. As she got older, she shadowed medical doctors as well as doctors of dental surgery, and life always brought her back to the dental world. Seeing the smiles that Dentists brought to their patients each and every day was incredible to her. In her free time, she loves to run. She has finished 15 half marathons and 1 full marathon. She also has a beautiful chocolate lab “Hidey” who loves running as much as she does, which makes it that much more fun.
Amanda Tran '21 | Treasurer
Amanda graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2015 with a Bachelor in Science in Chemical Bio-sciences. She chose to pursue a career in dentistry because it fulfilled everything she was interested in her future career: science, art, business while also simultaneously being able to interact with patients, develop patient rapport, and directly help others leave her office with a smile on their face (quite literally). In her free time, she enjoy spending time with my family and friends, dancing, traveling, going to concerts, documenting memories, and trying new experiences.
Brooke Korkames '21 | Secretary
Brooke graduated from University of Oklahoma in 2015 with a degree in Health and Exercise Science. She decided dentistry for her career because of the multifaceted dental field is which makes every day a new adventure. In her free time, she loves to attending concerts, traveling with her fiancé, and hiking in Colorado.
Hannah Kraemer '20 | Vendor Coordinator
Hannah Graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2016 with a degree in biology. She decided on dentistry because she always enjoyed going to the dentist when she was younger and her dentist was a woman she truly admired. After shadowing her, volunteering at dental clinics, and working for a dentist during one summer in college, she fell in love with the profession. She enjoys spending time with friends and family in spare time. Playing piano is also one of her hobbies. Over long breaks Hannah likes to travel with family to unique places.
Christian Contreras '21 | Vendor Coordinator
Christian graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2017 with a major in Health and exercise science and a minor in chemistry. He chose dentistry because he wanted to do something technician like but also stay in the medical field. For fun, Christian enjoys playing soccer with classmates. He also enjoys snowboarding in Colorado on breaks.
John Corbett '21 | Legislative Liaison
John went to undergrad at Carroll College in Helena, Montana and graduated with a B.A. in Biology in 2017. Someday he hope to use his training as a dentist to volunteer at the Santa Maria del Mexicano orphanage in Colon, Mexico. That was a project location in Mexico I worked at for Engineers Without Borders. While there he noticed that there was a large need for dental care for the 700 orphans. John hopes to use his knowledge as a dentist to help disadvantaged people both domestically and abroad. He is an avid outdoors enthusiast. While not in the dental chair He enjoys climbing 14ers, biking long distances and competing in 10k’s.
Hadley Finley '21 | Publications Editor
Hadley Graduated from Davidson’s college in North Carolina in 2014 with a degree in biology. She chose dentistry because she liked the idea of a career that continually evolving and each problem always has a unique solution. Hadley plays dungeons and dragons when she has spare time from school. She also enjoys reading fiction fantasy books. Over long breaks Hadley likes to travel as much as she can.
Nick Keeling '21 | Membership Coordinator
Nick attended Oklahoma State University. Although he had always thought that he would like dentistry, he wanted to explore another field in college. He graduated in 2017 with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He enjoyed engineering, but after shadowing in different dental offices he knew for sure that he wanted to pursue dentistry. In Nick’s free time, he spend time with friends and family and enoys traveling when his schedule allows.
Kelsey Kramer '21 | Historian
Kelsey graduated with a degree in business from the University of Oklahoma in 2016. Although she has no memory of going to the dentist, she decided on dentistry when she graduated from pre-school. Her passion kept growing for dentistry as she explored the dental field shadowing, volunteering and working as a dental assistant. In her free time, she enjoys running half marathons in different states, traveling with her sister, and teaching a kindergarten Sunday school class.
